KeyHelp^® 20.0 – Application installation and cron job improvements

• One-Click application installation
  With the help of this feature, popular web applications such as WordPress, Joomla!, Nextcloud, OpenCart and others can be installed in an easy way.
  Please note that this feature is currently only available for Keyweb customers. Non-Keyweb customers will soon be able to use it as well.
• Improved cron job functions ("Scheduled tasks")
  The possibility to create cron jobs in KeyHelp has been around for a long time. Now the feature has been extended with useful changes.
  From now on cron jobs can be created that run in the root user context. Furthermore, cron jobs can now be executed directly, whereupon a report can be viewed after execution. In addition, user-friendly input methods are available for defining the schedule settings.
• Improvements of the responsive design
  In order to use KeyHelp even better on devices with a small screen, the current version also includes various improvements in usability and optimal screen usage.
• Automated cleanup of temporary folders
  KeyHelp now regularly checks the contents of the user owned temporary directories and can ensure that files stored there are deleted after a predetermined period of non-use. This helps to save disk space that would otherwise be subtracted from the user's total free space quota.

At the beginning of this week, the additionally installable PHP interpreters also received an update. If you are using the PHP packages, they will be updated automatically by KeyHelp during this week.

As part of the update, the Roundcube webmail client has been updated. It now has a new response design.

The decision which design to use is up to the administrator and can be customized via the "KeyHelp Configuration" → "Tools" → "Webmail" → "Interface Design".

For new installations the new design is enabled by default, for updated KeyHelp instances the old design is enabled.

Please note that the support period has already been discontinued by the operating system manufacturer. Also we will no longer support this operating system with the release of KeyHelp 20.0. KeyHelp installations still running Debian 8 will no longer receive KeyHelp updates.

An operating system upgrade to at least Debian 9 is mandatory to ensure the security of your server in the future and to benefit from new KeyHelp features.
